inspiration.

Today I woke up on my lazy side. Have you ever had a day where you know you are going to be absolutely free the whole day, yet you want to do absolutely nothing the whole day? Well that was today ..

Right now I am waiting for my sister to come by. We are going to spend the whole day together making some awesome food. During this whole time I had some time to browse around on the net, which has given me so many more ideas to how I can incorporate some new techniques to my pieces. They are a million clever and quite easy ways of manipulating material. 2 weeks ago I had my own techniques, but now it feels that I have been introduced to this whole new world of geometry and material play.

For instance, have you ever heard of shrink plastic? Well I am dying to get my hands on some now! And this is just the tip of the iceberg. I feel like a child right now .. I just want to cancel all plans and run to the nearest crafts shop and buy everything I need and get started straight away. But I wont because I am actually quite excited about the food aswell! So for now I will leave this aside and we will meet again soon: Me, you and my new found materials !

Enjoy your Saturday! // P.

material :)

Ok, so yesterday we had our new directive put in with the new AW10 collection being introduced. The whole package looks so much fresher which was really cool to see. I am excited about this collection and dying to get my hand on some of the pieces. Wohoo .. anyways thought i'd show you one of the presentations:

Also I managed to get a hold of some awesome leather pieces that I'm going to be able to use for a piece im working on. I have started crocheting a part of a neck-piece that I want to blend with other natural materials. Will keep you posted! We are re-working our floor tomorrow night aswell so will try to upload some images from that too.

So till then .. Stay sound! / P.

i am a crocheter

Today was an excellent day. Got to work and realised that half the products on the shopfloor were completely misplaced! So we re-did the whole store .. and the outcome was very good. Next weekend we have the new collection going in to all stores with new layouts being made up so the shopfloor will look tiptop.

I am dead tired now. I was going to continue working on my pieces tonight but I wasn't able to get a hold of the materials that I needed for my work. It's all at work in a little box but there is just so much hassle in actually taking them out of the building! Hopefully they will let me play with them by Thursday :)

I thought i'd show you some of my experiments that I have been doing with yarn and string. I have recently picked up the magnificent technique of crocheting and I love it. I have got about a million ideas of how I can apply this technique to my pieces so I really can't want for everything to start taking shape. And the most amazing thing is that I learnt it overnight by myself. Looked really hard at first but I think im getting a pretty good hang of it. What do you guys think?

Stay sweet! / P.

create.

I have realised that it's really hard to keep this as a routine. If only there was a device that could connect your brain and heart to your laptop and transfer all data onto it. How much easier wouldn't that be? Wow .. you guys would have been in for a ride then. Well then maybe .. in a way .. its good that it doesn't exist!! Haha

Anyways .. Remember I told you guys about how I felt after my Japan trip and that I needed to express this somehow? I just wasn't sure how to go about with this feeling. I used to paint alot when I was younger. During my studies I enjoyed being creative but I didn't enjoy the fact that I rarely saw any finished products that I could grasp in my hand. Everything was in theory. I have found a new passion now. I am creating again .. through expressive jewellery making. I have taught myself new techniques during the past weeks .. I am now experimenting with materials and techniques and I am loving it! I want to create pieces that I have been missing from the market .. things that I have been wanted to own but that I have had problems finding. I want to create pieces that aren't just fashionable, but pieces that people can engage with and have an opinion about. And as soon as I started playing around, new ideas came to my head .. I have about a million things I want to do right now, now, now! Seriously .. This is going to be amazing! Cant wait to finish my first set of designs!!

Here's a sneak peak:

Also .. My promotion was sorted. Super frikkin great!

Peace! // P.
